Surfskipr is the official site of The Culebra Challenge Race and The
Puerto Rico Ocean Racing Association.
Our locals clubs has been organizing racing events for more than 15
years. In the 90's two times Olimpic Gold Medal Greg Barton won three
times the Discovery Race, and on various occasions we had the
participation of paddlers from Hawaii and Florida. In 2006 The Culebra
Challenge attracted paddlers from St.Martin, Guadalupe, Trinidad &
Tobagos and California.
With the celebration of the Culebra Challenge we have experienced and
extraordinary interest in the race through the Caribbean, USA and South
Africa. With more people getting involved we are doing our best to
promote the wonderful sport of Surfski paddling.
Our island is one of the best spots in the world to enjoy the excitement
of paddling in open ocean, so we want to attract paddlers from all over
to make our event the greatest in the Caribbean.
